A Cache before Christmas Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Bristracker: This one has definitely gone and its place of refuge appears to have been gouged out. It was sometimes replaced in wrong tree but now we know it is gone for sure.

How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

Small camouflaged clip-lock container with few swaps placed in neighbourhood park.

The cache was suggested by the name of a nearby street and an approaching festival.

The park has everything in the way of amenities, barbeque and covered tables, running water, swings and best of all for geocachers - toilet facilities. Parking on streets around it.

Dozens of native trees in the flat park. Lots of birds around all the time. When I placed the cache I watched baby birds having their flying lessons. In fact the first place I saw for a cache actually had a sqeaking noise coming from it so I guess it was a nest. All the noisy birds made me think of youngsters clamouring to open their Christmas presents.

This being a nature area you may encounter spiders or other insects. Birds may sprinkle you from above. Dogs may want you to throw balls for them.

Dogs can run free and chase balls. Council supplies doggy-do bags.
There is a bench to sit on to sign the log. First to find gets a gift box to use for Christmas.

Because the ground is level I have made this one wheelchair accessible, but the wheelchair would need to travel off path for some way. Also, please leave some covering over the cache. It is partially visible so kids should be able to spot it.
