It's not about me, Robin Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Roaming Man: It looks like the council has given the park a makeover and, sadly, they have cleared the rocks and the cache from its hiding place. We have decided to archive the cache.

Geocache Description:

Summary: The cache is located in a reasonably sized suburban park named after John Batman. This park has something for everyone, especially the geokids, and should be an easy find.

The cache is located in a park named after John Batman and not the comics character.

From Batman Park

John Batman was one of the first to explore Port Phillip. He was credited as the first white man to sign a treaty with the local aborigines. However, the treaty was not recognised by the government of the time. In many ways, he was a man ahead of his time.

You can also find more information about Batman on Wikipedia. The Darebin City Council has more information about the park.

The original cache was muggled. The replacement cache is a 35mm film canister that only contains a log sheet. Please BYO pen and no swaps please. It is more challenging to find than the old cache. GPS reception is not great because of the canopy but the coordinates should get you within 5m of the hide. Please return the container to the hide with care and make sure that it is not exposed before you leave.

Enjoy!
