Bakuroyokoyama wholesale store street
It is consecutive and a continuing wholesale district from Edo period.
There was a name of 144 people in the wholesale store union list of names in Yokoyama and Bakuro-cho in 62 and 1851(1851) in 19 and 1827(1827), and the Yokoyama-cho and the Bakuro-cho region seem to have been established to the Yokoyama-cho as wholesale store accumulation in 1792(1792).
Bakuro-cho was a town of the travel hotel from the provinces with which it stocked in the wholesale district in the Yokoyama-cho from which the customer etc. stayed though the Yokoyama-cho was a wholesale district from Edo period.
The number of a variety of kinds of wholesale stores increased in the vicinity after it entered the Meiji era, and the accumulation was postponed to Bakuro-cho. It came to be able to decide making of Bakuro-cho "Wholesale district" by opening Tokyo Station of 1914, and to form one large wholesale district of Tokyo.

馬喰横山問屋街
江戸時代から連綿と続いている問屋街です。
1792年（寛政4年）に横山町に19軒、1827年 （文政10年）に横山・馬喰町に62軒、1851年（嘉永4年）には問屋組合名簿に144名の名前があり、横山町・馬喰町一帯が問屋集積として確立されたようです。
横山町は江戸時代から問屋街でしたが、馬喰町は横山町の問屋街で仕入れをする地方から顧客等が宿泊する旅宿の町でもありました。
明治に入ってからも、近辺に様々な種類の問屋が増え、その集積は馬喰町にも延びていきました。大正3年の東京駅の開業によって、馬喰町の「問屋街」化が決定づけられ、東京の一大問屋街を形成するに至ったのです。
キャッシュを見つけた後は是非問屋街を見て回って下さい。基本的には一般人への小売りはしていませんが、一部小売りしているところがありますので、探して見るのも面白いと思います。
