Geocache Description:

Samos - Karlovasi - The Castel ancient ruins of Karlovassi - near
the waterfalls Potami.

*** The castle is closed off due to construction work***

The Castel ancient ruins of Karlovassi in Samos

This cache show you the nature of Karlovasi and his mystery. The hiding place is in 62 m altitude, you start in 9 m altitude. On the top can you see the "jungle" and the sea.

Start point and parking place is at Potami-Karlovasi: Waypoint GA228XQ. Take the way to the Waterfalls and you will found a church. After there at the left side is a white wall with stairs (Waypoint GB228XQ) follow-up and go to other site of there area and you will found a path, follow this path to the castle. This route is a little bit exertive, because you walk uphill. Good idea is to take water with you.

After this expedition i suggest you to swimm in the cool water of the waterfalls!!
