Corby Steel #1 - The Corby Candle Traditional Cache
Evenin' All: After 16yrs and never having had to replace a missing cache here I’ve decided to archive and look to put an adventure lab out that will cover Corbys history.
Thanks to all those who came to find it.

Corby Steel #1 - The Corby Candle
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
This series is in honour of the industry which brought life to the town of Corby. There aren’t many Caches around or in Corby and so I have decided to place a series, starting with the first two with more to follow. Corby’s Steel works brought people from far and wide to work here, my own parents were from Durham and Scotland arriving as children when my Grandparents moved here for work. This first of the series is The Corby Candle – No it’s not the Pub in the Town Centre, it’s an Iconic symbol of Corby. It’s not going to be one of the best cache sites but, you can’t do a series on Corby Steel works and not include this. The Corby candle is a large chimney which used to burn continuously to burn off the gases from steel works. Now redundant it stands as a reminder to locals of the Good ol' days of Corby Steel. This will be a quick dash and cache with space for several vehicles to park at the Cache site, please do not block the gates. This is a fairly straight forward Cache and so there are no additional hints. Good luck and happy caching.
