Course history
With the beautiful Flinders Ranges making a spectacular backdrop
for Port Augusta’s Golf Course, the fully greened, 18 holes and
well-grassed fairways, are considered one of the best country
courses in northern South Australia.
The club hosts the Jacob’s Creek Port Augusta Golf Classic,
attracting over 300 players. This week long event is held in the
first week of August each year and has been run continuously since
1977. Over $10,000 in trophies are available during the week.
Visitors with an AGU official handicap are welcome to join in
the competitions. If not, pay your fees at any other time and play
by yourself or check at the club house for a partner. Golf carts
are available for hire as well as sets of clubs, balls and tees.
Drinks and nibbles are available from the course volunteers taking
green and hire fees.
While you are in the area please take the time to admire the
absolutely stunning views and you will see why this is a very
popular venue for weddings.
The cache
Spencer was having another bad day on the course. As you can see
by his card he had a few DNF's for the day.
>
Perahps a bit more time at the driving range and less time
caching would improve his game.
All the information required to find the coordinates is in the
score card.
Stealth may be required as at times this can be a high muggle
area.
Good luck and happy golfing.
