Geocache Description:

Enjoy this fine specimen of a kapok tree.
Sadly, it's been ring-barked some time ago, but fortunately doesn't seem to be suffering (yet?).

The kapok tree (also known as the floss-silk tree) is native to South America, particularly Brazil and Argentina, and is a distant relative to the baobab tree.

As you'll notice, this is not the ideal tree to use for teaching your kids how to climb, nor is it the ideal tree to hide a cache in......
