Geocache Description:

There is no need to visit Te Papa’s rocks to solve this puzzle
although it is a place of discovery for visitors.
To protect this discovery the cache has been moved a long way away.

Once you solve the puzzle below you will need to go to
the new location to locate the “mysterious container” which is placed comfortably on the West side of a rock
so that it would feel comfortable in its new location.

Archeologists are grateful for the recent uncovering of the mysterious container by a small child.

When emptied the contents were arranged in three lines which are shown below.

This arrangement puzzled experts for many days until the child, after consulting
Horik Svensson, informed them that the message showed where the container should be relocated.
The conversation went something like this.......
Child: "Is this some strange alphabet?"
Horik: "Could be something I have seen before."
Child: Is it Anglo-Saxon or is it Viking in origin?"
Horik: "I know it's Futhark. I'm fairly certain it is Germanic but certainly those vikings will have been involved."
Child: " Is it alphabetical or numerical?"
Horik:"There are a number of ways these can be numbered. I wonder which one is used here?"
Child: Do you think those pesky cachers will solve this straight away ?"
Horik: " I'm sure they will, I'm pretty much onto it now myself."
Child : "So am I, it's so simple even my father could solve it!"
“Forget the S and E bit, as any cacher should work that bit out for themselves.”
Horik: "Well done kid, you little ones get smarter every year. Let's go hide the cache together."

Good luck. Don’t become too vexed.

Cache is a small camoed sistema container.
It will be necessary to bring your own writing implement to sign the log.
A degree of stealth may be required to avoid muggle interference from a nearby observation post.
Please replace the container as found.
