Geocache Description:

This series is in honour of the industry which brought life to the town of Corby. There aren’t many Caches around or in Corby and so I have decided to place a series, keep an eye out for more of the series in the future. Corby’s Steel works brought people from far and wide to work here, my own parents were from Durham and Scotland arriving as children when my Grandparents moved here for work. This is the fourth of the series – Prior’s Hall Quarry. Another old Iron Ore Quarry site for the Steel Works, it was landscaped as a Golf Course which was enjoyed by many of the Workers, it was opened in 1967 by the famous Tony Jacklin, Rider cup winner. This can be a quick dash and cache or stop and have a game of golf or just a drink at the 19th Hole. There is car park for the golf course about a mile further on or you could park briefly, near the cache site, please do not block the gates. Good luck and happy caching. Sorry no FTF special item in this one but have some tees!
