Geocache Description:

Located underneath the building. But not the brick building.

Cache is a Black Pill Bottle with a log and room for very small trades. BYOP

This cache is in the only commercial alley in Grand Bay.

The history of the location is this:

Grand Bay State Bank (1913)
The Grand Bay State Bank was located in this building from 1913 to 1929. It was used as the post office from 1933 to 1975. In the late 1960's and early 1970's I remember walking to this Post Office to get our mail from the PO Box. On a special day there was a Mom and Pop grocery store fondly known as Van Ambergs and we would go there and get a bottle of coke for a dime. We had to drink the coke there because mom said it was throwing money away to pay the nickel deposit on the bottle. There used to be a dance studio in one of the upstairs rooms in the late 1970's.
