Geocache Description:

A great place to visit, free parking cracking walks, dog friendly and lots to do and see for the kids.

The road to Cornalees from Inverkip is single track with passing places, is windy and can get quite busy in good weather.
The road from Largs or Greenock passes Loch Thom and is also single track. There is a junction off this road which branches down towards Cornalees visitor centre. Take a nice easy drive and enjoy the views - if you can! Best to have a look at a map to see where these roads run.

Cornalees Visitor Centre, at Loch Thom not far from Inverkip in Inverclyde provides wonderful nature trails, scenic walks, views and picnic sites. There is a good access point to the Greenock Cut (a 5.5 mile aqueduct, and designated ancient monument) for a great reasonably level circular-walking route with panoramic views of the Clyde and islands especially if you walk anti clockwise! Shorter walks include the special needs friendly 300 meter mini trail or the 2.5 km (1 hour) nature trail in Shielhill Glen.
The Centre is open all year with events, exhibitions, a free kids Entertainment Corner with environmental education activities such as word searches, animals and colouring in.

Cache is a small clip-locks and is a short walk from the parking spot. Parking at N55 54.626 W004 48.354
