You will start your search at the base of sleeping Giant State Park in Hamden, CT getting there take I-91 to exit 10 from either direction. Exit 10 is also CT route 10. Follow the expressway to the end where you will go right on to Whitney Ave. Go to the 4 Th light not counting the one at the end of the ramp. Take a right on Mount Carmel Ave. Sleeping Giant State park will be about ¼ mi. on the left. From the parking lot take the Tower Trail to the summit. 1.6 MI 550 ft elevation change, but outside of that it is an easy walking trail. At the summit go to the northwest side of the tower. Take the trail at 290 degrees heading from the tower
