Geocache Description:

This is a simple park & grab. Look out over Rt 19 to get a nice view of Canonsburg Lake.




Facts about Canonsburg Lake:
-the dam was built in 1943
-it is a 76 acre impoundment of Little Chartiers Creek
-the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania acquired the property in 1957
-it is managed by the PA Fish & Boat Commission which controls 138 acres including the lake, dam, and shoreline
-the concrete gravity dam is 525 feet long and 45 feet high
-the estimated normal maximum depth is 18 feet
-the fish population includes: bass, bluegill, carp, crappie, catfish, shad, sunfish, and trout
