Balanced Rock of Idaho: South of Buhl in the Salmon Falls Creek Canyon stands the world-famous Balanced Rock. Over 48 feet tall and 40 tons, the wind-carved rock balances precariously on a pedestal only 3 feet by 17 inches

I grew up about 8 miles from Balanced Rock on a farm. My brother (BZ-guy) got me into Geocaching in April of 2009 at Balanced Rock. While Geocaching during Thanksgiving of 2009, BZ-guy and I gathered up 5 objects from around Balanced Rock to put caches in.
Even though there are many caches in the Lagoon Valley, I am hiding these caches where I hike most of the time. You will need to walk on the grass beside the paths during the rainy season.
To celebrate my 500th find “Out Along McCormick”, I have hid a series of 5 caches called “Balanced Rock #1, Balanced Rock #2, Balanced Rock #3, Balanced Rock #4 and Balanced Rock #5.
there are numerous caches in the Lagoon Valley Hills.

Someone took my first mother ship and cache. So this is relocated near the fence under another mother ship. It is only about 8 feet off the trail. 38 20.060 122 00.290
