Geocache Description:

The cache is hidden at the start of an easy walk skirting Messenger's Copse, to the North of the town of Newbury in Berkshire. This is an easy walk, and could also be a quick cache and dash by parking close to the cache location. Terrain is easy - but can get very muddy in wet weather, so suitable footwear recommended.

The cache is a small box containing a logbook and pencil, plus when first placed it contained a few other items - keyrings, fridge magnets etc.

An easy find on first entry into the field alongside Messenger Copse.

This is a great location for some lightweight birdwatching - we have seen plenty of buzzards, hawks and even seagulls. And if you're not into birdwatching, listen out for the hounds....!

Roadside parking in Pear Tree Lane. Bus stop adjacent to Shaw Cemetery.
