This cache is located at Erwin Park in McKinney, TX. Erwin Park hosts many caches and is a great place to hike/bike & cache. This cache is located off the hike/bike trail. The trail is maintained by DORBA (Dallas Off Road Bicyling Association). If you see a DORBA member doing maintenance work on the trail, please be sure to thank them for their volunteer work. And remember, if biking always yield to hikers as they have the right of way.
The approach to this cache will require a creek crossing of moderate difficulty. I recommend well soled shoes for this cache. I have no idea what the name of this creek is. Like many creeks in N TX, when we get a lot of rain it flows well. When we are in a drought, the "creek" is no more than a dry gully. It was flowing moderately when I placed this cache. Enjoy the other caches in this park if you have not already done them. It will take you a good afternoon to grab them all. You will get plenty of excercise on either your bike or hike. This is a family friendly park. Feel free to bring the kids and a picnic. Enjoy!
THE ONLY CORRECT ENTRY TO THIS CACHE IS IN ERWIN PARK. THE CACHE IS NEAR BUT NOT ON PRIVATE LAND. PARK HOURS ARE FROM 7:00 AM TO 10:00 PM.
