Geocache Description:

WOOO HOOOO for steve & renee for the FTF. The cache is small and contains only the log. Please bring your own writing utensil and please do not remove the entire cache container from its location. Unscrew the base and the log should come out easily. Replace the log into the base and then reassemble the container.

We don’t have anything against “the lady” or against Shakespeare for that matter, but with a 27 year career in the U.S. Air Force behind us, we probably don’t share much with the folks who made this area famous. In the 1980’s the Westgate railroad crossing was one of the key locations for anti-war protests which tried to stop the “White Trains” carrying weapons to the nearby Naval Ammunition Depot/Submarine Base. Initially, the train cars were actually painted white, although later shipments were on more normal looking trains. These trains were easy to track from the weapons production facilities (principally in Texas) and attracted numerous protests along their route. For that and other reasons trains are no longer used to transport nuclear weapons.
