The sixth Heaven Sakaki Shinto shrine

Sakaki Shinto shrine is god in the Shinto shrine that moved to (1928) at the present place in 1928.
A lot of festivals are held by Kotohira Shinto shrines etc. compared with Nanafuku god of harvest and the thing as for the company on the weekend of the first week of June every year at the end.

Precincts have the stone monument of the Asakusa pocket edition of the height of 4m.
It was closed a library, and facilities were moved to Ueno Park, and became antecedents in a present international child library moving 140,000 books of (1874) and the Yushima book pavilion in 1874, and becoming the Asakusa pocket edition in the government-owned library that had been open to the public from the next year in 1881 in (1881), and.
Those collection of books is owned to National Archives Cabinet Library, the National Diet Library, and Tokyo National Museum now.

第六天榊神社

榊神社は昭和3年(1928)に現在地に移った神社で、榊皇天神を祭神としています。
七福稲荷、事比羅神社など末社も多く、毎年6月の第一週の土日に例大祭が行われています。

境内には4mの高さの浅草文庫の碑があります。
浅草文庫は、明治7年(1874)、湯島書籍館の図書14万冊を移して、その翌年から公開された官立の図書館で、明治14年(1881)に閉館され、施設は上野公園に移され、現在の国際子ども図書館の前身になりました。
現在、それらの蔵書は国立公文書館内閣文庫や国立国会図書館、東京国立博物館に所蔵されています。
