Geocache Description:

The terrain rating does not relate to the hide but to the drive to the cache - take caution of the wombat colonies - best to do this during daylight hours - better views anyway.

This is the closest view you will get of Wardang Island if you do not have a boat - its quite unique. When Mum Grom was a teenager, she camped out here and the beaches are secluded and awesome!

The fishing between Wardang Island and Big Goose and Little Goose Island is fantastic and Mum Grom has had many a feed of fish from here.

The locals from Point Pearce hold a Butterfish Spearfishing Competition here each year and provides lots of fun for them and their families.

If you venture up the track a couple of hundred more metres you will see Butheras Rock - this has great historical significance to the local Narrunga people and we ask that you respect their dreaming.

It is best to turn around and venture back the way you came from the Point Pearce Township (plus, you'll know where the wombat holes are!)
