Geocache Description:

A traditional 450ml tupperware container just off one of the main paths through the Blaise Estate.

The cache is situated near to Goram's chair and down the hill from the Giant's Soap Dish, so this must be his bathroom!

Goram is the giant that Bristol folklore claims made the Avon Gorge.

As with all such stories, there are a number of variations but I have decided that the one we like the best is that Goram and Vincent both fell in love with Avona who promised to marry the giant who could first drain a great lake that stretched from Bradford-on-Avon to Rownham Hill.

Goram drank too much beer whilst digging through the Henbury Hills and fell asleep in his favourite stone-winged chair, while Vincent furiously dug his way through to Sea Mills and married Avona, who gave her name to Vincent's Avon Gorge.

The broken hearted Goram hurled himself into the Severn where his head and shoulder can still be seen poking out of the mud as Flat Holm and Steep Holm.

The cache also contained a logbook, pencil, an assortment of quality Christmas cracker goodies (some of them to provide practical assistance to fellow cachers) and a shiny(ish) pound coin as a FTF prize.

Be warned that this are can get very busy so you may need to be patient if you are to maintain your stealth.

This cache was placed with the kind permission of the Blaise Castle Estate Manager.
