Geocache Description:

This cache is dedicated to my brother Jim who lost his fight with lung cancer in October 2009. Jim was laid to rest on his 71st birthday, November 4, 2009. RIP Jim.

The cache name, Home From The Hill, is taken from a Robert Mitchum film which derives its’ name from one of my favorite poems by Robert Louis Stevenson; The Requiem. Some consider The Requiem is a personal epitaph by Stevenson who died at the early age of 44 from tuberculosis.

Home from the Hill is a 1960 film directed by Vincente Minnelli and starring Robert Mitchum, Eleanor Parker, George Peppard, George Hamilton, Everett Sloane, and Luana Patten.

REQUIEM by: Robert Louis Stevenson

UNDER the wide and starry sky,
Dig the grave and let me lie.
Glad did I live and gladly die,
And I laid me down with a will.
This be the verse you grave for me:
Here he lies where he longed to be;
Home is the sailor, home from the sea,
And the hunter home from the hill.
