This is the third cache in a series of small flora and fauna reserves on the Mornington Peninsula. The cache is located in the Kangerong Flora and Fauna Reserve, on the banks of Dunns Creek. There is a short loop track though one section of the reserve, and the cache is about half way around the loop.
There are a number of large old trees in the reserve which survived the loggers saw, this one has come to the end of it's life and has now fallen, to rot away and return to the Earth that gave it life so many years ago. The cache is an 850 Ml sealed container with log book, pen and the usual swaps. July 2020. When the cache was placed there used to be a well maintained track through this part of the reserve. Now it is overgrown and a bit of a bushbash at the start of each end, from there you can find and follow the track, as well as some useful Kangaroo trails. Good hunting!
