Whitmore Square Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Ngaambul: As there's been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

Welcome to Whitmore Square in Adelaide.

I found this on Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Whitmore Square is a public square in the centre of the south-western quarter of the Adelaide city centre. It surrounds the intersection of Sturt and Morphett Streets. It was named by the Street Naming Committee after William Wolryche Whitmore, a British Member of Parliament who introduced the South Australia Foundation Act to the British House of Commons.

You can play oversize chess courtesy of the Adelaide Council. There is also a memorial to the Afghan cameleers.

Large shady trees abound.

Whitmore Square has a bad reputation but I think it may be wrongly earned.

The cache is initially a micro but if it survives I'll upsize it
