This is for all those who worked for Northwest Airlines, including several members of my own family, during it's 84 years in Minnesota.
A few key date's in NWA history:
October 26, 1926 - Col. Lewis H. Britton started Northwest Airways Inc. with a contract carrying air mail with 2 rented open cockpit biplanes.
July 5, 1927 - The first passenger service begins. $40 tickets, one way to Chicago,IL
April 14, 2008 - Delta announces the purchase of Northwest Airlines, the U.S.'s oldest airline.
October 29, 2009 - NWA becomes a subsidiary of Delta.
Spring 2010 - Northwest Airlines will be officially retired.
Cache contains a few airplane items.
Maybe you'll see one of the last NWA planes flying overhead while your making your search.
Should be kid friendly too.
