Small regular on the Westside with a great view on
Albuquerque.
As the weather is normally too dry here to get snow, my kids and I
placed this cache to make sure that there is always a little bit of
snow in Albuquerque, even in the summer.
The hiding area is very special to me, and the person who this
cache is dedicated to knows why. From here, you have a beautiful
view over Albuquerque. Jackrabbits, sometimes coyotes and, during
summer, horny toats can be spotted up here.
If you get your stroller through the trail gate (s. gallery), then
the rest of the path is stroller accessible.
Please watch out for snakes when it's warm weather.
If you want to make a beginner's night cache out of it, go to N
35° 10.435 W 106° 41.947, and - having the city lights in your back
- look for the reflector.
The initial content of the cache is:
- A snowglobe as the prize for the FTF
- An ornament
- 2x 6 christmas gift tags
- TB Mickey on its way to Germany
To be left in the cache:
- A plastic daisy
- 2 logbooks
- A pen
Coming from Germany, I noticed that the standard hint here in
Albuquerque is different from the one in Germany; while most of the
caches in Germany seem to be hidden next to trees, it seems that in
Albuquerque most caches are hidden next to piles of rocks :-)
This is why I send special greetings from Germany to Albuquerque
with Germany's probably most used hiding place -> s. hint.
Congratulations to J.A.R. for the FTF! Retrieved it on New Year's
Eve! :-)
(Of course you cache at your own risk, blabla...)
