Bases Covered OR "Jacob's Eye Exam" Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

BlueRajah: Hi ,

As there's been no cache to find for months, and/or there has been no communication on the cache page with the cache owner I'm archiving this to keep it from continually showing up in search lists.

Thank you,

Geocache Description:

My first - and probably last - handicapped accessible cache.

It came to my attention recently when one of our most experienced cachers was unable to locate this cache that the difficulty level MIGHT be a little low. I really do think it's a one, but given his considerable experience both hiding and hunting geocaches, and since I want to be fair and accurate, please let me know if any of you think this cache to be more difficult than a one, so I can update the rating.

This cache was named in honor (sort of) of a certain now-archived cache hidden just NE of here in one of those prickly pine trees by JACOB. I used to live about 200' to the West, so that cache sat there near the top of the pine tree for a very long time before I found it - not for lack of looking. I placed this cache here (when I still lived there) to prevent anyone else (especially JACOB) from hiding another demonic cache in my backyard.

The SECOND name comes from the time JACOB came to pick me up at my home to go find some caches, and he wanted to find this cache, since he hadn't yet. Much to my amusement, he was actually unable to locate it, and even after I told him "it's there" he was still unable to see it. Once you find it, you'll see why I was laughing sooooo hard, and had to re-name the cache in JACOB's honor.

So there you have it. I wonder how many other caches have stories like this...I've heard lots, and most of them are hilarious - especially when I know the folks involved.
