4.23. Unarchiving a Geocache

The archiving of a geocache is intended to be a permanent status. That is why only community volunteer reviewers and Geocaching HQ staff have the capability to unarchive it. This is done only in rare circumstances and only if it meets the current Geocache Listing Guidelines.

If a geocache is archived by a reviewer or staff for lack of maintenance it will not be unarchived.

Geocache Description:

(This part of the description has been written by iTreasureHunt for iTreasureHunt2)

This cache is as close as we can make it to the piney lakes reserve (GC2A7F) cache.

The reason is that the piney lakes reserve cache has become a very significant cache to iTreasureHunt2.

We were over in Sydney the other week and were doing Harbourside cache (GCF7A4) when we realised the cache was older than iTreasureHunt2 himself.
Since then we discovered that we had also done a cache in Darwin that was older than iTreasureHunt2 (Safety Stop) GCDBB1.
The greatest surprise is that the oldest cache we have ever done is in our home suburb and we didn't notice.

The piney lakes reserve cache was hidden in 2001 which is about 18 months before iTreasureHunt2 was even born!!!!

Maybe this could be a bit like a FTF for our young goecachers, who could call them "BC" finds (No not "Before Christ", but "BEFORE the CACHER")

BC find = the cache was hidden BEFORE the CACHER who found it was born

So to date iTreasureHunt2 has three "BC" finds to his name

THE CACHE

iTreasureHunt assisted iTreasureHunt2 to build this cache. iTreasureHunt2 wanted this cache to be impossible enough that "Liz and Bruce" can't even find it.

(The rest of this description has been written by 6 y/o iTreasureHunt2)

The cache is a micro camo that is a bit off the path in an obvious spot but you still won't find it.
It is not hidden, just camoflaged
The cache has no room for a swap.
There is a seat for muggles to sit nearby so be careful.
Along the path you will find a lot of sculptures.
Kids enjoy riding their bikes past the cache and there is a nice view from the grassy hill nearby (where we park the car at Paterson Gardens)
If you are walking from our cache to piney lakes reserve cache it is sandy and up hill. I think it would be easier to go the other way and walk down hill in the soft sand to my cache.
