Geocache Description:

McCrae House is the birthplace of John McCrae the author of “In Flanders Fields”, a well known poem written in 1915. The limestone cottage built in 1858 has been restored to reflect the period 1870-1873 when the McCrae family lived in it. The federal government through the Historic Sites and Monuments Board designated McCrae House as a place of national significance and the City of Guelph has designated it as “a property of historic and architectural interest”. Adjacent to the house is a small memorial garden maintained by the City of Guelph.

The posted coordinates are for the gate to the garden. You will need to collect a bit of information from various plaques or monuments around the house and grounds to get the coordinates for the cache. Replace the bolded letters with the digits from the plaques and plug the numbers into the coordinates N 43 AB.CDE W 080 FG.HIJ where you will find the cache.

Please replace the cache so that it is completely hidden.
