Geocache Description:

My daughter gave me a Geocache Online gift certificate for Christmas. So what am I to do with it?

Not only did I have to ante up for shipping for the items I ordered, but then I had to spend time hiding a new cache. Since I like my time well spent, I expanded on a rock solid placement of the cache that her devilish mind suggested.

On Old Braddock Road there are two pedestrian bridges on either side of the road on Fairfax County walking paths near The Colonnade at Union Mill Shopping Center. I pass these bridges frequently, and every time I pass, I think there is a nice place for a cache, so I placed one there.

Beware! While placing this cache, I noticed the area was laced with woody vines (poison ivy maybe?), but since I did place it in late winter I don't know, because I couldn't count any "leaves of three."

The best parking is in the back of the shopping center opposite door 3274 where it is a short walk down an asphalt path to this location. Other areas are probably available, but this seems the most sensible - very near another cache. And it is a pleasant walk to the bridge.

Initial contents include:

A gift card to Starbucks for the FTF

A golf tee off set
An advertising bottle opener keyring
A Danforth Anchor Travel Bug

In addition to the above there is a log book and two pencils.

Congratulations to NetworkCacher for being the FTF.

I also thank him for pointing out the coordinates were originally almost a half mile off and he still found it. Now that is Geo Sense!
