Woodland Wander Traditional Cache

This cache is placed to celebrate new year on one of my favourite local walks.
Parking for a few cars can be found at N50. 44.412 W001. 37.305 This is a lay by on the A337 near the Royal Oak pub.
Cache is a 0.9 tupperware style clip top box with room for small swaps and travel bugs.
You will need to walk on a public footpath not far from the parking coordinates, across a field and into woods.
The path can get quite muddy in winter or after heavy rain so walking boots or wellies would be advisable then.
Please keep to the path as it goes through private woodland. You will see signs saying private keep out, but these refer to the woods and not the footpath.
Once you have found the cache you can return the way you came for a round trip of just over 1 mile. However why not carry on for an enjoyable circular walk along public footpaths.
If you choose to carry on you should cross the road and use the footpath over the golf course. This will lead you on to the cliff top. Turn left and walk along the cliff top until you see a footpath on the left between 2 fields. Walk along this path until you come to the end. You will then need to cross the road again and you will find another footpath opposite slightly to your right. Follow this path through the field, over a bridge and up a slope. The path then bears round to the left. You will have a field on your right and woods on your left. You will then need to turn right through the field and the path will bring you out on to a lane. Turn left into the lane and follow it to the end. Turn left by the Royal Oak pub and you will be back at the parking coordinates.
This makes for a lovely walk of around 2.5 - 3miles.
Why not enjoy lunch or a drink at the pub after your walk.
Dogs are welcome but will need to be kept on a lead at all times.
This cache is not really suitable for pushchairs or wheel chairs due to kissing gates and bridges.
