Geocache Description:

The cache:
The roses have grown here so approach cache from the left of the tall noun.
While the cache itself shouldn’t cause you too much trouble, there are usually many muggles nearby so I recommend bringing the cache back to your car to sign the log. It is readily available 24 hours a day so it may be easier after hours. It would be perfect for a MCD. BYOP

The series:
While I do like geocaching – a lot, there are other things that I pursue too. One is vegetable gardening, another is cooking. This cache is the second in a series of caches that combines cooking and geocaching. Like my other cooking cache, Vanilla Bean, this cache is placed where I picked up a key ingredient. In this case, the ingredient is pearl onions.

The recipe:
This dish was on my “bucket list” of things to cook. I made it for New Year's Eve. I acquired a wonderful porcelain coated Dutch oven last year and such a pot is perfect for this dish. Be forewarned, this dish takes hours to prepare. It is worth it in the end though. I don’t anticipate making it often, but at least I can say that I have made it. I found it essential to have prepped all the ingredients ahead of time. I used Mark West Pinot Noir. Serve this over broad egg noodles, and with a simple green salad and baguette.

I hope you enjoy the cache, and the dish. If you do make this recipe, let me know how it comes out for you.
