Come one, come all to the 4th Annual Quad
City Geocachers Dinner …. (formerly known as the Palouse Dinner …).
We’re looking forward to meeting the new geocachers, seeing the
cacher’s who’ve been around for a while, hearing all the ‘tall
tales’, seeing pictures from the recent Cache Machine in Chehalis,
hearing how dshifter broke his wrist
… and so much more! Bring along
any travel bugs you want to trade and any geocoins you want to
show and/or trade.
Lunch is at Smoky Mountain Pizzeria
Grill here in Moscow at the Palouse Mall. The time is set for 1
p.m. and we have the ‘back room’ reserved. You can enter the
Pizzeria either through the mall itself or from the parking lot. If
you haven’t had the opportunity to eat at Smoky Mountain, it’s a
pretty darn good place. You can see a sample menu at:
www.smokymountainpizza.com. Not only can you order off the full
menu any pizza/pasta/salads/sandwiches/calzones, Smoky Mountain
also has a lunch buffet for $8.59. The buffet runs from 11am to 3pm
on the weekends. For the price you get “all you can eat” pasta,
pizza, hot garlic bread, crisp salad, soup, and your choice of
bottomless soda.
I'm looking into getting some prizes
for different fun 'contests' at the event. So far, I have one
premium prize ... a one month trial premium membership here
at geocaching.com!! Yeah...thank you Ice and Wind. I
will be searching for other prizes over the course of the next
three weeks. Quadsinthemud, Ogeo and Isplash are
donating a pathtag & shirt from the Centralia Cache Machine
(way cool!!). Also, for those interested, they will also be selling
pathtags and shirts from the cache machine! (I've had a glimpse of
the shirts ... they're VERY nice!!) Pirates of the St.
Joe will be donating an unactivated geocoin!! (I like
unactivated coins ... muwhahahahaha) I've picked up a couple of
items from Tri~State. We'll see if I can hunt up some more items.
