Geocache Description:

The cache is NOT at the posted coordinates. Solve the puzzle first.

Face it, there's nothing good on television anyway. You've got plenty of time and nothing better to do than solve a puzzle.

This cache was originally hidden by nonaeroterraqueous in Irvine. Yes, this actual cache. Because the original listing had additional logging requirements, it was archived after ALRs were banned and because I was the last finder, I got to keep the cache. So, now you get a chance to find it. The original cache was rated 4/2. I'm not sure I agreed with that terrain rating. I've been looking for a hiding place like the original, but after seven months, I finally gave up and just decided to hide it here. It's not exactly the same, but it has the basic spirit of the hide, I hope.

You may log this cache without following the original ALRs, and I will not delete your log (presuming you do still find and sign the log in the cache, of course). However, if you don't want the rest of us to snicker at you behind your back or you want to be considered for Puzzle Challenge Finder points, you must follow the ALRs.

Special Notes about the 2010 Puzzle Challenge: To be considered for Fastest Solver points, you must verify your solution with certitude. Because certitude may not properly account for joint solutions, please email me team member names in the case of team solutions to ensure proper point accounting. All "point" scoring is arbitrary anyway, subject to change, at the discretion of the cache owner, and probably completely meaningless (I haven't decided yet whether we'll have an event in December). The real challenge is just to see whether you can solve all of these caches by the end of the year. To maintain fairness, hints should not be offered by the cache owner or other solvers until the fifteenth of the month.
