Geocache Description:

A quick micro overlooking St. Austell Bay.

This cache is hidden on the South West Coast Path, just above Spit Beach. Parking coordinates are listed below, walk under the railway line & follow the public footpath through the Imerys china clay works (ugly but interesting!). The plant is used for drying & milling china clay, the finished product being transported out by road and rail. The small harbour within the works is no longer active, all shipping is now done through Fowey docks which are connected to this plant by a private road. At the end of the path you emerge onto the coastline with extensive views across St. Austell Bay. There`s a nice little beach below & an interesting little rock arch. You`re looking for a small gray cylinder, it`s a big micro, or a small small! This cache is a replacement for GC1PQNZ which has now been archived.
