Geocache Description:

It is with Great Sadness to say that Lucy went to sleep for the last time on the 28th August 2015 ,aged 14yrs 4mts She was a very much loved member of our family ,and will be missed terribly .

lucy's little loop

This is a area where we love to walk with our dog Lucy,so it seemed apt to place a small series here ,consisting of 8 caches and a further 6 bonus caches making up a pleasant walk around the former Cruise missile silo’s which was part of the former Greenham common airbase of the 501st Tactical missile wing from the US Air force ,until 1992 ,then in 1997 The Greenham common trust bought back the land for £7million.

These 8 caches were placed with permission from West Berkshires Council ranger for the common Adrian Wallington

Please keep to all the paths and tracks where possible ,due to the sensitive nature of the ground nesting birds in the area.

Please be respectful of the area and to other users of the common , as it has took me nearly a year for these caches to be granted permission.

Don’t forget to collect the code from some of the cache container lids for the mystery bonus cache.

FTF honours go to The Teddies ,who managed FTF for the whole series
