A continuation of our Ystwyth Trail cyclepath route that can be
done either from the car park near 'Under the Stars' or from a
parking place noted below (note that there is only really room for
one car, although when we parked there, someone else drove to the
ford and was washing their car!)
This cache is located a short walk/ride from Route 81 of the
National Cycle Network (the NCN) To find out about the NCN and

If you approach this cache from our Under The Stars cache, the
terrain is easily passable and so apart from the final hunt for the
cache, it is a 1.5, if not a 1! If, however, you approch from the
parking co-ords below, be prepared for a bit of a climb. So this is
the end of the track as far as the railway cyclepath is concerned -
the large fence a bit futher on is not to be crossed!!!! The owner
of the land has not permitted the cyclepath to carry on, so it has
to detour around via the main road. Please, do not attempt to carry
on along; this would be trespassing and upset the landowner
somewhat -there are ongoing discussions about the completion of
this section of cycle path and we don't want them to be affected.
We hope that one day the path will be allowed to continue as it
goes through a tunnel and would make the whole cycling experience a
lot more fun. Until then, enjoy the track as it is.
One last word of warning - watch out for the fallen trees if you
bring your bike along here. Happy caching!
