geodatum: We came here today to attend to wetness issues and replace the log, but we could not find our own cache! We looked all around its correct spot. Either it has been muggled or put in a very incorrect place. The siting of this cache has been somewhat problematic, so we've sadly decided it is now time to archive. [:(]

Geocache Description:


This cache is located at an old quarry that serviced Palmerston North's brickworks in earlier days. The quarry has been undergoing a transformation in recent years, driven by community vision and volunteers, the so-called Pit Park People.
It is well worth a visit to see what can be done and is still developing.
Entry to the particular vicinity of the cache is best from Featherston St., or Tweed St. Park on the roadside and follow the walkways in.

Cache is a black film canister and has room for log only. Please secure firmly back in place. Take your own pen or pencil.
