Geocache Description:


Welcome to Little Thetford!

A classic English settlement listed in the Norman doomsday book and still home to many today.

The Village sign was replaced in 2008

The village pond was filled in in 1936

In the 1851 census the village population was 366 and had 45 dwellings by 1995 the population was 460 and now is around 700.

The villagers had the right to dig for fuel in Grunty fen until the early 19th Century.

The Village pump was situated on the Village Green to the left of Holt Fen Drove and was removed in 1930.

In 1921 the first 6 council houses where built in the village.

The cache is a small click and lock container, containing a few swaps, log book etc. its hidden quite well and should be replaced as found.
This is the second cache that we have hidden and hope you enjoy it.
