Geocache Description:

This is a multi-part cache - the co-ords will take you to a place where you will find some words. The words must be used to work out the co-ordinates for the physical cache.

Welcome to Llantwit Major, also known as Llanilltud Fawr.

We Llantonians are proud of our heritage, and this is my first cache in Llantwit. Of course, if you know your Welsh, you'd have already worked that out. "Un" is "one" in Welsh - look out for Llantonian Dau and Tri, when I have time to set them up...

This area is rich in history - I won't write about it here, as you'll surely discover it on your way around the cache site.

The co-ords for this cache should bring you to a set of words - they are above head height on the south face of an old building.

This is not the location of the cache, but of the clue.

To work out the location of the physical cache, you need to use the words at this first location in the order that they are written. For instance, if the words said "the cat sat on the mat", the numerical value of those words would be 1 2 3 4 5 6.

So, this cache is located at:

N51° Tewkesbury Grange . Abbey Afforded Century
W3° Tewkesbury Afforded . Grange 0 Century

(there's a numerical word in the clue-words - it counts as one word)

The clue is accessible from the road, but the cache is only accessible to the able-bodied, sorry. It's about a five minute walk between clue and cache.

Have fun...

(Final co-ords amended to be slightly more accurate - many thanks to Rudi Mentry for comments.)
