My friend Chris and I thought the last day of 2009 would be a good day to go for a georun. For those that have not heard this term it is when you go for a run with a secondary purpose of finding geocaches. Naturally our favorites are trail runs and Briones has been calling out to me for some time. In looking at all the geocaches in Briones it the best run appeared to be from Happy Valley Road to Pleasant Hill Road along the ridge line. As an added plus this trail had some noticeable gaps where addition caches could be hidden. Unfortunately I neglected to fully examine the topo map as this is one hilly ridge trail. End to end we completed the run in 2 hours (5.25 miles). Rather grueling run but the views were amazing.
Please note that the cache coordinates may be a little off as they were determined using a Garmin watch gps. If you would like to provide me with more accurate coordinates I would be happy to change them. If you get stuck just look at the hint and it will be fairly clear where to look.
The container only has a log book, please bring your own pencil.
