This is a reincarnation of
GCY833 Marina Point II by Kevali. Located in Fox River Preserve
& Marina, a nice Lake County Conservation District park
situated along the Fox River.
If you found it previously you will recognize the area but the
container is different and hidden a bit differently. The cache is a
short hike from nearby in-season parking and a longer hike during
winter. The trail to the cache may be closed at times when the Fox
River is flooding.
The container is a seed cache that I found courtesy of Corp of
Discovery.
The cache site is a relaxing, scenic location and a great place to
sit and enjoy the view. In addition, the park offers some good
hiking trails and is a popular spot for morning walks. This can be
a popular area at times, so use discretion and place the container
back exactly as found. Use caution at the cache site, particularly
if you have small children.
We had to keep this one alive as it was the 1st cache we ever TRIED
altho turned back by high water it ended up being the 2nd and I
even had the parents along for their first cache. We chose to
create a new listing instead of adopting so you can get another
smiley if you revisit & find it again, this way it makes a
return trip to this scenic area worth it.
