Bigdog927 and I (bigdog421) have been assumed to be brothers on numerous caching occasions. This cache is to explain all that, how we each got started, and to hammer in the fact that we are NOT BROTHERS!!!!!
Bigdog927, though having less than 1000 finds, started BEFORE way back in 2005. HIs name is form the fact that he TRUELY is a bigdog, likes dogs in general (has about 4), and 9/27 is his birthday. He had heard about geocaching before but did not start until after he ran into someone at the Narrows who dropped their papers after walking past them. (Imagine dropping papers while caching...that doesn't happen to me anymore since I get to upload them directly!!
) So he started, as well as his brother...his REAL brother, and has about 5 finds. He got my one friedn from high school into it, but he to has stopped. I'm his last influencee...and I'm SUPER hooked.
The journey of bigdog421 to this moment is....more roundabout. I started in 2007 but found one in 2006. I stole the bigdog name and added numbers for fun. I have two interpretations of them....I'm 4 being 21, and if you start at 4 and divided by 2 you get 2, divide again and get 1. Either way, pretty lame, and I still lacked the creativity to creat my own name. We first looked for one of POKERBUZZ's caches at the Greene, the one that is now archived, at night and did not find it. Then, I helped at an Eagle Scout project for one of my other friends from high school and we had some down time to find Way Back...click the link to check out my log, which I made in 2007. I had a party to watch the Steelers and Bengals play at my house during CHristmas break, during halftime, bigdog927 and luey### (not sure of numbers) went to get the one behind my house, my offical first geocache.
The final "straw" in my geo-experience was a trip to Bernoulli town USA....Xenia. We got an extra day during Carroll's spring break since some sort of Electrical problems due to Bingo on SUnday night led to no power on Monday. We had lunch and He drug us and a few others out caching. I had an absolute BLAST and bought my GPS the NEXT day! I've been hooked ever since.
So as you see, we are not brothers at all but best friends who still cache together every chance we get. I stole his name and changed the numbers. I lacked creativity at the start, but I think I've gotten better in time!
Enjoy another film can in SPringboro...I'm sure there STILL aren't enough.
