Tour Down Under
The 2010 Santos Tour Down Under is part of the UCI Pro Tour. It was first held in 1999 and has grown to become the biggest cycling race in the Southern Hemisphere. It covers 794kms in six stages.
The Jayco Stage 5 is set in the Fleurieu Peninsula – famed for its coastal thrills, secluded beaches and unspoilt wildlife.
This stage, 148kms, begins at Snapper Point, The Esplanade, Aldinga Beach and concludes in Willunga approximately 2hrs 40mins later.
Sprints are held at Snapper Point, there is a feed station in Willunga and King of the Mountain on Old Willunga Road.
This cache is one of a number placed around Stage 5 of the Tour Down Under. They do not have to be done in any particular order.
Wonderful views from this location. Cache contains log book only, byo pen/pencil.
