Questo COVO LOCO è nascosto lungo la nuova pista ciclabile che segue l'Acquedotto Mediceo nel suo tratto urbano. L'acquedotto Mediceo parte dalla Valle delle Fonti sopra Asciano e arriva fino alle mura di Pisa. Fu costruito tra il 1588 ed il 1613 e portò acqua potabile alla città di Pisa per oltre tre secoli! Ulteriori informazioni possono essere reperite a questa pagina. State attenti ai muggler (siamo in una zona residenziale) e... ricordatevi di portare una matita!
Nonostante si possa parcheggiare più vicino alla cache, ho aggiunto un waypoint in un parcheggio (dove la cache era originariamente nascosta, a 600 metri da quella attuale) posizionato in una cornice storica eccezionale: vi si accede passando sotto uno dei 934 archi dell'Acquedotto Mediceo ed al suo fianco si trova anche la presa che riforniva la sede dei Cavalieri dell'Ordine di S. Stefano nella piazza omonima. Questo parcheggio un po' nascosto (vi possono accedere mezzi con altezza massima 1.75m!) è uno tra i più vicini al centro in cui si paga poco (0.60€/ora) e solo dalle 8 alle 14 dei giorni feriali (dati raccolti quando la cache fu nascosta). Con una breve passeggiata potete raggiungere un buon numero di cache nel centro storico di Pisa, tra cui GC1AKWJ.

This COVO LOCO is hidden along a recently opened bike lane which follows the urban path of Medici Aqueduct, connecting Valle delle Fonti above Asciano with Pisa walls. It was built between 1588 and 1613 and brought drinkable water to Pisa for over three centuries! Please be stealthy as it is in a residential area and... remember to bring a pencil!
Even though parking nearer to the cache is available, I added a waypoint to show a small parking lot (where the cache was originally hidden, 600 meters away from the current location) surrounded by an exceptional historical framework: it can be reached by passing under one of the 934 arches of Medici Aqueduct! Next to the parking you can also admire the recently restored water plug connected to Cavalieri of S. Stefano Order fountain in the square with the same name. This slightly hidden parking (only cars with maximum height of 1.75m can enter!) is among the nearest to the city center, where the fee is not so high (0.60€/h) and must be paid only between 8am and 2pm of working days (at the time of cache hiding). With a short walk you can find a number of caches hidden in the historical center of Pisa, e.g., GC1AKWJ.
I COVO LOCO non sono più supportati dagli inventori della serie, non è più possibile creare ulteriori cache COVO LOCO, tuttavia le caches già registrate rimangono attive fino a quando ciascun owner lo riterrà opportuno. Per finalità "storiche", lascio di sotto le regole cancellando il nome del sito, ora registrato da un'altra persona probabilmente per sfruttarne la popolarità.

La Buona Norma del COVO LOCO
§1: Il tipo di cache di un COVO LOCO è sempre "traditional".
§2: Un COVO LOCO è sempre raggiungibile con la macchina! Bisogna evitare lunghe passeggiate a piedi.
§3: Ogni listing di un COVO LOCO deve avere un suggerimento molto chiaro.
§4: I cache devono essere denominati secondo lo schema "COVO LOCO #(numero di quattro cifre)". Così possono essere differenziati subito da cache ben fatti in posti favolosi.
§5: I numeri dei COVO LOCO possono essere tra #0001 e #9999, bastava registrare il numero desiderato sul sito ZZZ prima di pubblicare il listing.
§6: Il listing di un nuovo COVO LOCO deve contenere queste buone norme.
§7: Ogni cacher, che trova un COVO LOCO, era pregato di metterne almeno uno nuovo - chi contravverrà sarà punito con 5 DNF di seguito dal Signore dei cache.
ATTENZIONE: QUESTE BUONE NORME ERANO ASSOLUTAMENTE OPZIONALI! NON HANNO NESSUN EFFETTO SU UN EVENTUALE LOG DI UN COVO LOCO!

COVO LOCO is no more supported by the series creators, thus no new COVO LOCO cache can be created, however already registered caches stay active as long as each owner decides so. Due to "historical" reasons, I leave below the rules deleting the website name, now registered by a different person probably to exploit its fame.
The Statutes of COVO LOCO
§1: The type of a COVO LOCO is always "traditional"!
§2: COVO LOCOs have to be easily accessible by car! Avoid long walks on foot!
§3: Every listing of a COVO LOCO has to have a very clear hint!
§4: The caches have to be named like "COVO LOCO #(number of four digits)"! In this way they can be distinguished from caches made with love in nice places.
§5: The numbers of the COVO LOCO range from #0001 to #9999! Prior to the publication of a new COVO LOCO you needed to register your favoured number at ZZZ.
§6: The listing of a new COVO LOCO has to contain these statutes!
§7: Every finder of a COVO LOCO should have placed a new COVO LOCO himself - the violation of this rule would have been punished with 5 DNFs in a line by the Lord of the Caches!
