An easy cache by the old Vanier middle school.
This school was named in honor of Major-General Georges Vanier who was a Governor General of Canada.
I attended Vanier in the late 1990s and at the time I wasn't a keener and I didn't much care for learning French. It was closed down in 2005 after École Le Mascaret was built. And now that it's just part of the hospital property, I miss it.
Lucky for me, I'm now in university and I happen to live in a dorm that is also called Vanier, which is in honor of Georges Vanier's wife, Pauline Vanier. So it always feel like a little bit of home is close by. Now this cache has a twin back in Fredericton in honour of my new school (GC22W3K)
Inside the cache has a logbook, pencil and some trading items. However, I haven't checked on the cache yet but logs say the TBs aren't in the cache, please remember to log it if you take or leave one.
Instead of paying for parking, I suggest you take the back street and park at: N46 06.058 W064 47.368 It's a short walk onto the grounds and there's a path so it should always be accessable in winter. Once you get to the parking lot it's easy business.
Grats to Belladan for the FTF!
Grats to Scouter_Rick for being the first to log this cache and its twin
