Geocache Description:

This pill bottle-sized cache is hidden in one of the Riverside Avondale Historic District's pocket parks. Easy access, although you'll have to park on a side street.

Adams Park is one of the 14 small pocket parks that Avondale developers incorporated into the upscale neighborhood's original 1920 design. This black pill bottle-sized cache is nestled in the triangular park that lies where Oak, Riverside, and Edgewood meet. The surrounding homes are lovely and architecturally diverse, especially the Beerbower home, built in 1909, which is set at the corner of Riverside and Challen, behind the stucco wall. This home predates the neighborhood, and was built when the area was still wilderness. The original owners were also its builders, harvesting coquina from beaches just past St. Augustine and rowing it across the river to this site, where they formed it into building blocks using a mold in the front yard.
