This cache has been archived.

TheCur8or: As this cache has been out of action for too long, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

Located on the southern side of the Waikanae river, along Te Araroa (The Long Pathway).

This cache was placed to celebrate not only a pleasant track along Waikanae river, but also Te Arawai footbridge, installed in February 2009. I am a keen user of this track, as well as the other side, in many walks and bike rides with my family - a fantastic activity on a nice day.

The cache itself is a small walk from the bridge itself. Access to the southern side can be of three different ways: SH1 bridge, Te Arawai, footbridge at Otaihanga Domain, or, of course, swimming across!
The cache is a painted 2L Sistema, containing a logbook, stashnote, and a few trinkets.
