Nomi sukune Shinto shrine (Sumo Jinjya)
The Nomi sukune Shinto shrine is a sumo wrestling Shinto shrine that Japan Sumo Association is managing.
Each executive of Sumo Association, executive of Patent Trial Department, and umpire committee and person at one gate related to the sumo wrestling restaurant etc. gathers after the conference of the organization of the match of the Tokyo place of three times a year ends and the festival is held. It is a Shinto priest of Grand Shrine of Izumo [**] that presides over the festival.
When a new grand champion sumo wrestler is born, announcing the parade of wrestlers in the ring in the front of the house in this building of a Shinto shrine comes into usage.
The stone monument that carves the name of the grand champion sumo wrestler of successive builts in precincts, and a nostalgic name of Taiho, Kashiwado, and Chiyonofuji, etc. can be seen.

It is possible to enter though the entrance might be closed by the day in the steel fence. When evacuating it, I will close.

野見宿禰神社(相撲神社）
野見宿禰神社は日本相撲協会が管理している相撲神社です。
年3回の東京場所の取組編成会議終了後に、相撲協会幹部と審判部幹部、各一門の審判委員や、相撲茶屋関係者などが集まって例大祭を行っています。祭典を取り仕切っているのは出雲大社教の神職です。
なお、新横綱が誕生した場合には、この社殿の軒先で土俵入りを披露するのが慣例となっています。
境内には歴代の横綱の名前を彫った碑が建ち、大鵬、柏戸、千代の富士などの懐かしい名前を見ることができます。
キャッシュにはペンが入っていませんので、ペンをお持ち下さい。
日によって入り口が鉄柵で閉まっていることがありますが、入ることは可能です。退去する時に閉めておきましょう。
