Hornibrook Stares Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Triam: While construction has started on the fishing platform, and a cache could be placed on it in the future, Shell-A and I have decided to archive this cache because the location is still blocked off and we don't wish to place another cache up here because of the nearby houses.

We've also placed another cache in the proximity that cannot be activated while this cache is temporarily disabled.

Geocache Description:

This small cache is tucked away on a hill that overlooks, the Hornibrook Bridge, Houghton Highway and the new Ted Smout Memorial Bridge. On a clear day a cacher should be able to see the Southern end of Moreton Island, Shorncliffe, the Port of Brisbane, and in the distance, Brisbane's skyscrapers. Might be one to do at night time for the light show. Care should be taken to be sure footed when retrieving the cache.

The cache is a small Sistema container, clearly marked as an Australian Geocache. At the time of placement it contained an Official Geocache Rite-in-Rain logbook, pencil and sharpener and a mind game from a Christmas Cracker. The cache is only appropriate for small swaps and trackables. The Hornibrook Bridge is stop 11 on the Redcliffe Historical Society's drive.
