Umsizi: Hi daanzena

This cache appears to be in need of owner intervention. I'm temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary.

Please enable your cache by selecting enable on the right hand side of the listing , once the cache has been replaced/repaired, or checked that it is still in play.

The Geocache Maintenance Guideline explains a CO's responsibility towards checking and maintaining the cache when problems are reported. Caches that have been archived for lack of maintenance will not be unarchived. This is explained in the Help Center

Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 30 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness. If you plan on repairing this cache, but cannot get to it within 30 days, please log a note to the cache page (not email) to let the community know

Geocache Description:

Flat terrain, easy find. Plastic bottle with logsheet, note, pencil, goodies. Lots of traffic passing by, so just pretend to take photos. While there, go around the corner to view our very interesting airport building. Worth the effort. NOTE: The log is wet. Would the next Geocacher kindly replace the log sheet on my behalf? I will not be in Phalaborwa for the next month to do it myself. Also maybe take a clear plastic bag with to cover the whole cache? Thank you very much.

This tree is a freak of nature. The original tree going up from the ground, is Mopani. The huge tree growing out of its side, 1 meter above ground, is a Marula tree, and it bears fruit every Jan/Feb. The men with the white dustcoats and thick glasses still need to explain this one. And no, the squirrel theory does not gel either, as both these trees are of the same age. If you have a theory on how this might have happened, we would like to know. It was not the Aliens either.
